SUMMERIANS - LETTER TO CYRPUS
How are you all?, How nice to talk to you again, I am writing to you about your support and permission for my Windsurf challenge we talked about in our last meeting, This adventure has been a big project for me for the past three years – the Sumerians Challenge. As I told you I am planning to windsurf across the Mediterranean Sea from beautiful Cyprus to Turkey, with the aim of setting a world record and promoting various environmental and cultural initiatives let me explain.
Introduction:
The "SUMMERIANS CHALLENGE" project is a windsurfing challenge that involves traversing the Mediterranean Sea, The primary goals of this project are to set a world record to create awareness to promote eco-tourism, arts and science, environmental conservation, to promote Cyprus and Turkey as unique tourist destinations, for creating Video Clips and to practice Windsurf, as well, to create an artificial coral reef as a sustainable underwater attraction for sport divers, diving schools, and create content media material to Inspire future activities through educational speeches at universities of Venezuela, Cyprus, The Netherlands, and Cyprus.
The Challenge:
The journey involves traveling from Holland to Turkey by car and airplane, followed by a ferry to Cyprus. Once in Cyprus, I will wait for optimal conditions to launch my Windsurf board and sail approximately 98 to 130km windsurfing adventure from Dipkarpaz to Kiskalezi in Turkey. This challenging feat is expected to take around 12 to 16 hours, with planned stops for breaks and safety checks, taking advantage of the longest sunlight and winds.
Financial Support:
To fund this project, I am seeking sponsorship from individuals and companies. I plan to approach 100 sponsors with contributions ranging from 100 to 500 euros, and larger sponsors with contributions from 1,000 to 5,000 euros, hoping to reach a minimum of 12.000 euros. This financial support will cover the expenses associated with the challenge, including safety measures, medical assistance, media coverage, and logistics for the team.

A special acknowledgment will be extended to our sponsors, whose generous support made this journey possible. Each sponsor will receive prominent credits in the documentary, 360° video, and music album, ensuring that their names are widely recognized for their invaluable contribution.

Artificial Coral Reef Project:
Part of the funds raised will be allocated to an innovative project aimed at creating an artificial coral reef accessible to tourism, contributing to environmental sustainability and economic growth.
Environmental Initiatives: I plan to create 12 underwater statues along the route of my challenge, forming an artificial coral reef to benefit marine life and attract tourists and teaching at the universities and schools a nice way to create economic grow by using natural resources music sports science, and social media.
Underwater Plaque and Statues:
To immortalize the names of all major contributors and icons involved in this adventure, underwater plaques will be installed off the coasts of both Cyprus and Turkey. Additionally, every artificial coral reef statue created as part of the project will bear the names of those who played a significant role, ensuring a lasting footprint on Earth for generations to come.
Media Coverage: A documentary and 360° footage will be recorded, along with a music album dedicated to Cyprus and Turkey. This content will be used to raise awareness about the beauty of Cyprus and Turkey and at the same time used as a promotion for tourism advertising.
Tourism Promotion: The challenge aims to promote the scenic locations along the route, fostering tourism and highlighting the cultural richness of both Cyprus and Turkey.
Monetizing the "Summerians Challenge" Documentary:
By sharing the video on platforms like Vevo, YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, and more, the project becomes a self-sustainable and continuous advertisement for Cyprus and Turkey. It reaches people all around the world, 24/7, and keeps making money even after the challenge is done.
This is a great situation for everyone involved - sponsors, governments, team members, and contributors - because it creates lasting value. At the same time, it shows off the beauty of Cyprus and Turkey to people everywhere.

Request for Clearance:
To proceed with the Sumerians Challenge, I kindly request permission clearance from the government of Cyprus. I understand the necessity of obtaining Coast Guard clearance from both countries, and I assure you that safety measures and necessary precautions will be taken throughout the entire journey.

I am aware of the Independence Day event in Cyprus in July and would like to offer a full performance by my band as a contribution to the celebration. This would coincide with my challenge, creating an opportunity to generate awareness for both events.

Project Overview:
The "Summerians Challenge" aims to set a world record by windsurfing from Cyprus to Turkey, creating a sustainable arts and science project. Logistics and Safety:
3. The logistics involve traveling from The Netherlands to Turkey by car, establishing a base in Kizkalesi, and departing to Cyprus by ferry. Accommodations are planned in Dipkarpaz, with safety measures including a prepared safety boat with radio, internet, rescue items, and a qualified team comprising a camera crew, paramedic, captain, and entertainment staff. Necessary supplies such as fuel, food, drinks, GPS, and navigation systems are secured.
Permissions and Approvals:
5. Permissions from Turkish municipalities have been obtained, along with medical clearance, a windsurfing certificate, and insurance coverage. Support from meteorology experts, NASA, and 40+ coaches and advisors is confirmed.
Budget and Funding:
7. A budget of 12,000 euros is allocated to initiate the challenge, with a goal of 50,000 euros to fund the creation of an artificial coral reef and future projects.
Cultural and Environmental Impact:
9. The project aims for a positive cultural impact, inspiring others to achieve greatness and fostering economic independence in localities through the fusion of natural resources, music, travel, and adventure.
Media and Promotion:
13. The video serves as a win-win strategy for revenue generation, self-sustaining investment, and commercial promotion for future challenges. Live music performances during the challenge will further enhance its promotion.
Independence Day Event:
15. A documentary, shot in ultra-high quality over three years, will be created and promoted on platforms like Netflix and National Geographic. The music band's live performance during the challenge contributes to showcasing the excitement and endurance of such endeavors.
